Stop this Genocide

Israel continues to literally burn, slaughter, massacre and behead children, mothers and fathers in Gaza. They have deliberately destroyed the healthcare system and continue to starve civilians by restricting all forms of aid.

The Ummah can do ALOT to help and stop this genocide! The world can do more to stop this. Where is humanity? How much longer do our brothers and sisters need to suffer for the world to act? Have we become densensitized to this genocide, as we just carry on with our lives as if nothing is happening? Increase your duaa for our brothers and sisters who are suffering so much! Speak up and do not stay silent.

May Allah help and protect the people of Palestine and grant them victory.

Istaghfar: Door to Many Blessings

Surah Hud, 3
Surah Hud, 52

The benefits of istaghfar are great. As stated in the above ayah, Allah will send down rain from the sky to fulfill one’s needs. He will increase us in strength and grant provision in this life for the one who seeks His Forgiveness. We all make mistakes, big and small. Yet it’s essential we seek Allah’s forgiveness frequently, turn back to Him, and change our ways. Keep your tongues moist by seeking Allah’s Forgiveness. Istaghfar opens the door to many blessings.

Surah At Tawbah 38

When Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded the believers to go on the Expedition of Tabuk to fight the Romans, everyone was required to go. The journey was not easy. The weather was hot, provisions were few and the distance was long. Some of the Muslims were reluctant to go on this expedition. In this context, Allah SWT addresses the believers:

O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allāh, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.

One who possesses a sound intellect will never prefer this world over the Hereafter. This life is short and filled with problems. In terms of quality and time, it is nothing compared to the hereafter. In contrast, the enjoyment of the hereafter is filled with eternal happiness. Our focus in this life should be the Hereafter.

In times of difficulty, are we willing to sacrifice worldly comforts for the deen? Or do we only serve the deen when circumstances are easy and beneficial?
